Know About Our Dairy Farm & Our History

The Centre of Excellence for Genetic Improvement (CoE Dairy) traces its roots to the Agricultural Development Trust (ADT) in Baramati, established in 1971 by Mr. Sharad Pawar. Mr. Pawar's focus on water conservation and agricultural development initiated transformative changes in the drought-prone region. Under Mr. Appasaheb Pawar's leadership, the Trust diversified into dairy, poultry, and agri-processing, embracing modern techniques to enhance productivity. Recognizing dairy farming's potential, the Trust founded CoE Dairy, emphasizing genetic improvement and innovation. Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Chairman of ADT, played a pivotal role in realizing CoE Dairy, leveraging his experience from the American dairy industry. Trustee Mr. Ranjeet Pawar's dedication to animal husbandry, particularly indigenous breed conservation, has propelled CoE Dairy's success.
